Terms of use
Plain terms for a free information service. If anything here is unclear, ask us.
Who we are
TechSussd is run by ArcGabriel Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (17389329), registered office Carlile Institute Business Centre, 54 Huddersfield Road, Meltham, Holmfirth HD9 4AE. Contact: hello@techsussd.com.
What TechSussd is
TechSussd is a consumer information service. It compares smartwatches using published evidence, tells you which one fits what you want it for, and links to retailers that sell it.
Independent: paid by retailer commission, never by brands for placement. How we're paid.
We are not the seller
We do not sell anything. We take no payment for goods, hold no stock and deliver nothing. When you buy, your contract is with the retailer, on the retailer's terms: price, delivery, returns, warranty and your consumer rights are between you and them.
A price we show is the one we found when we checked, with the time we checked it. The price at the retailer's checkout is the one that applies.
Not medical advice
TechSussd compares devices on fitness and wellbeing measurements: heart rate in everyday use and exercise, steps, energy, sleep duration and staging, VO2max estimates and GPS distance. It does not give health or medical advice, and it is not a medical device. It does not compare features a maker markets as medical.
TechSussd compares devices. It does not give health advice. For questions about a health condition, speak to a GP or pharmacist.
About the evidence
Every fact in the register carries its source and the date it was checked. Findings from studies that have been retracted are removed. Where we have no sourced answer, we say so rather than guess.
Accuracy in a study is accuracy for the people, activities and software version that study tested. Your own results can differ. The register shows the evidence as it stood on the date given beside it.
Using the site
The site is free and needs no account. Please do not interfere with it, overload it, or try to reach parts of it not meant for you. Automated access is on the terms in Citing and the API.
Our content
The register, its pages and their wording belong to ArcGabriel Ltd, which holds the copyright and database right in them. You are welcome to quote and cite them with attribution, on the terms in Citing and the API. The studies, pages and data we cite belong to their owners.
Our responsibility to you
We take care to get things right, and we correct mistakes when we find them or you tell us (Report a mistake). We are not responsible for a retailer's goods, prices, delivery or service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version is dated at the top of this page.
